Man and woman stretchingBy offering donor-supported financial assistance, the Y works to ensure that nobody is turned away for inability to pay.

After School

We have sliding scale fees for our After School program, with all sliding-scale fees except the highest level subsidized by the YMCA. This is the primary way we provide financial assistance for families in our After School program (see After School).

Additionally, all our licensed child care programs, including YMCA After School, accept Virginia DSS Child Care Assistance aimed at helping parents who qualify to afford child care. If your annual household income is less than $60,000, you definitely qualify for free or reduced childcare, and other families may qualify depending on family size.
